When sex is dirty

Lusts are destructive to man’s soul. Galatians 5:19, “now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these, adultery fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness”. Don’t give yourself up to the indulgence of sensual appetite, or to the soft pleasures of the soul.  Bible encourages us not to be conformed to this world, but we should be transformed by the renewing of our minds and also to set aside every weight that easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Rom12:2, Heb12:1.

Lev. 18:22 reads, “thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind, it is abominable.23, neither shalt thou lie with the beast to defile thyself therewith, neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto.

Jude 1:7, “Even as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire”.

 1Corinthians 6:9, “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind”.

Seducers give themselves up to their own fleshly lusts. Refusing to bring every thought to the obedience of Christ, they act against God’s righteous precepts. They walk after the flesh; they go on in sinful courses and increase to greater degrees of impurity and wickedness. Galatians 6:8 "the man who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the spirit will of the spirit reap life eternal”.

In the more recent times, in most develop and developing countries of the world, the practices of homosexuality,
heterosexuality, and other categories have been adopted into their federal law.  As much as they may want their citizens to be able to express themselves and to have freedom to practice of whatever, they go against God.

It is very important for us to hold our minds together so that we do not fall. When we choose not to renew our minds by the word of God and also control our emotions and feelings, there is a tendency we are exposing ourselves to the danger of passion of lust. There is a tendency you start demanding for sex the way you have seen it in movies or books.

Abstain from fleshy lust. Such desires and passions are carnal appetites; indulgence in sensual appetite or the soft pleasures of the soul would hinder our progress and turn us off from great design.
